Trade in Services
Services constitute about 70% of the GDP of European Union countries and an even higher percentage of GDP in North America. Kosovo currently has a favorable balance of trade and comparative advantages regarding the export of services. Trade in services is generally divided into four categories:
1. Cross-border supply of services (for example, a Kosovo call center providing services in North America)
2. Consumption abroad (for example, tourists traveling to Kosovo)
3. Commercial presence (for example, a Kosovo owned and based construction firm setting up subsidiaries or branches in foreign countries)
4. Presence of natural persons (for example, Kosovo consultants providing IT expertise on site in the United Kingdom).
